Prayer Requests
- Just as we were rejoicing thanking God that kulo unyaka
akasindwendwelanga, God visited our circuit ngesiquphe and borrowed one
of our own. We were saddened by the passing of Sister Nonkqubela
Marhamnco after a short sickness. We would like us all to embark in
prayer for her family ukuba uThixo abaphe amandla, abathuthuzele, yaye
abanike ithemba lokuba noxa ebathathele umntwana nje kodwa
akabashiyanga yaye usabathanda.
She has lived amongst us as a warrior of Christ, masihambeni ke ngoko bantu abatsha siye kumkhapha ukuya kwikhaya lakhe lokugqibela on the 11 September 2010, eXhorha. - Let us continue to pray for our country, as it lately has been faced with one of the largest civil servant strikes which has affected us all directly or indirectly.
Youth Month 2010As we are starting our youth month after being refined by the Holy Spirit from the District Consultation, we would like to encourage all Young Methodists of the Cape West Coast Circuit to embark in a similar theme for this month, that of "Walking with Jesus through Faith". As we will be ministering to our fellow Christians, let us not move without God's presence in our lives and let us ask His Holy Spirit to remain and reside in us. This month will not come without challenges but we should keep the faith that it is in those challenges that God will manifest His power and His Love. The outgoing Bishop of COGH District said in his address at the 2010 WG Consultation that when we go through the fire, no matter how hot or burning it may seem, but we should remain in that fire for our complete refinement and God's work to be completely done in our lives, knowing that he is right there with us in those fires . Let us then take courage in these words and go preach the uncompromising Gospel of God, whether we will be facing fires, storms or any other obstacle, but we should know that we are "God's Work In Progress" and He is with us. Our duty as young people does not only end behind the pulpit or in church but we should strive to be the agents of change, moving from our comfort zones to places where we feel discomfort, trying to reach out to God's people who have not yet seen or even heard of God's grace. As the committee we would like to wish you a Spirit-filled month and we pray that God will use you as never before to win back souls for His kingdom. Ze nazi ke oku ukuba for when we walk with Him through faith mountains will seem like mole hills, and when we roll our sleeves sizakungena endimeni we will never suffer in vain. Let us rise up to John Wesley's challenge and be the generation that he was asking for when he said: "Give me a hundred men who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I will shake the world. I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; and such alone will overthrow the kingdom of Satan and build up the kingdom of God on earth." In Everything we do ke Bantu abatsha we should not forget the Methodist Rule of Life: "Do Good, Do No Harm, and Stay Inlove with God" |
